U.S. Representative Mary Miller, who serves Illinois’ 15th district in Congress, recently posted a series of tweets expressing criticism regarding law enforcement and immigration policy in Illinois.
On October 16, 2025, Miller posted "Excuse me, what?!" on her official account. Later that day, she followed up with a more detailed statement: "Illegal aliens shouldn’t be in our communities, let alone wearing a badge. This is reckless, dangerous, and a total betrayal of the rule of law — exactly what we’ve come to expect in Illinois under the Pritzker regime." On October 17, 2025, Miller shared another post containing only a link: "https://t.co/9gQn4UcCHP".
Mary Miller has been representing Illinois’ 15th district since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. She won her seat in the U.S. Congress by defeating Erika Weaver in the 2020 general election with 73.5% of the vote and was re-elected in 2022 by defeating Paul Lange with 71.2% of the vote.
Her recent statements come amid ongoing debates about immigration enforcement and state policy under Governor J.B. Pritzker’s administration.
