U.S. Representative Mary Miller, who represents Illinois’ 15th district in Congress, used her social media platform to comment on issues related to border security and federal spending in a series of posts on October 15 and 16, 2025.

On October 15, Miller claimed that criminal organizations are targeting federal law enforcement in Chicago. She wrote, "Mexican cartels and domestic extremists are placing bounties on ICE & CBP agents in Chicago. These criminals are waging war on U.S. law enforcement, and sanctuary cities are making it worse. We must crack down on these terrorist networks!!"

The following day, Miller addressed congressional spending and recent legislative actions by Democratic lawmakers, stating on October 16, "When Biden was president, Chuck Schumer and Democrats voted for the same clean funding bill 13 times. Now, they are putting Americans last to appease the radical Left with $1.5 TRILLION in additional spending." In a separate post later that day, Miller shared a link without further comment: "https://t.co/6y2MgFwR4C"

Miller has served as the U.S. Representative for Illinois' 15th district since 2021 after succeeding John Shimkus. She secured her seat by defeating Erika Weaver in the 2020 general election with 73.5% of the vote and was re-elected in 2022 against Paul Lange with over 71% of the vote.
