Russell Street between Springfield Avenue and Healey Street will be closed to traffic starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, due to storm sewer repairs by SNC Construction. The closure is expected to last until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, if weather conditions allow.
Local traffic, including access to private driveways and refuse pickup, will be able to use Russell Street from Springfield Avenue during the closure period. According to the announcement, "Traffic on Healey Street and Springfield Avenue will remain open and unaffected by this project; however, minor traffic delays may occur at work zones."
The work aims to repair storm sewers in the area. No major detours are expected for drivers using Healey Street or Springfield Avenue.
