The University of Illinois men's golf team, ranked No. 8 nationally, is set to compete in the Moraine Intercollegiate on October 13-14 in Kettering, Ohio. The event will be held at the Moraine Country Club, a par-71 course spanning 6,916 yards. The club has a Scottish links-style design and has received recognition from Golfweek and Golf Digest for its quality and historical significance.

The tournament will feature 14 collegiate programs, including four other Big Ten teams: Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. Miami (OH) serves as the host school. Other participating schools are Bowling Green, Connecticut, Dayton, Missouri, Rhode Island, VCU, Wright State, and Xavier.

Illinois' lineup for the tournament includes Max Herendeen in the top spot, followed by Trey Marrion, Freddie Turnell, Ryan Voois, and Dane Huddleston. Competing as individuals are Dujuan Snyman, Jake Birdwell, and Ethan Wilson.

This marks the first time Illinois will participate in the Moraine Intercollegiate. None of the current team members have previously competed in this event.

Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard powered by Clippd. Recaps and results are expected to be posted on FightingIllini.com after each day of competition.

Following this event, Illinois will travel to Saucier, Mississippi from October 18-20 to compete in the Fallen Oak Collegiate Invitational at Fallen Oak at Beau Rivage Resort. Last season at this invitational, Illinois finished tied for second as a team with then-senior Jackson Buchanan earning medalist honors.
