SNC Construction will close the right two eastbound lanes on Springfield Avenue between Westlawn Avenue and Garfield Avenue to conduct storm sewer repairs. According to the City of Champaign, traffic heading east will be redirected into the center turn lane through a brief construction zone. The westbound lanes and all intersections along Springfield Avenue will remain open during this period.
The work is set to start at 7 a.m. on Monday, October 13, and is expected to finish with lanes reopened by 4 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, depending on weather conditions.
