Starting September 15, 2025, Paula Drive in Champaign will be closed to vehicular traffic from the intersection of Paula Drive and Melanie Lane to the west half of the Paula Drive and Honeysuckle Lane intersection. The closure is part of the Garden Hills Phase 3 Project.
From September 15 to September 17, residents will have access to their driveways when construction equipment is not operating on the roadway. Beginning September 17, all driveway access will be removed. Residents may park across the street where parking is available but cannot park within the construction zone. Pedestrian access to homes will remain open during construction.
The closure is expected to last six to eight weeks. Work may be delayed due to weather conditions. Additional lane or road closures will be announced as work on the project continues.
