The City of Champaign has announced the schedule for its Fall Yard Waste Collection program, which will take place from October 13 through December 12, 2025. The program offers every residence in Champaign four collection dates during the fall season.
According to city officials, Blue Zone pickups are set to begin on October 13, while Orange Zone pickups will start on October 20. The collection service is free and available to all residential properties within the city limits.
Residents can participate by placing bagged leaves or bundled branches and twigs at the curb before 6 a.m. on their assigned collection date. To determine their specific collection zone and schedule, residents are encouraged to use the interactive Yard Waste Collection Map by entering their address in the search bar located in the upper left corner of the map.
The city states that this program provides a green alternative for yard waste disposal.
