Rep. Mary Miller, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Illinois’ 15th district, posted several messages on her social media account in early September 2025, criticizing both state and national leadership as well as the media.
On September 2, 2025, Miller commented on public safety measures taken during political events in Chicago: "Last year, Pritzker had the National Guard on standby to protect Democrat elites at the DNC. But protecting the people of Chicago from rampant crime? Suddenly, 'no emergency.' President Trump will step in to PROTECT THE PEOPLE! "
Later that night, Miller directed criticism at news organizations, stating on September 3, 2025: "The Fake News Media has become the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. They lie, gaslight, and protect the politicians destroying Illinois. It’s time for Americans to boycott their lies and fight back with truth!"
In a separate post early on September 3, Miller announced an upcoming television appearance: " TUNE IN: I’m about to join @foxnewsnight with @tracegallagher!"
Miller has served in Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021 and represents a largely rural district in Illinois. She secured her seat by defeating Erika Weaver in 2020 and Paul Lange in 2022 by wide margins.
