Rep. Mary Miller, currently serving Illinois’ 15th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media during Labor Day weekend, focusing on support for American workers and concerns about public safety in Chicago.

On September 1, 2025, Miller marked the holiday by acknowledging working families in her state: "This Labor Day, we celebrate the hardworking families of Illinois who keep our nation strong and prosperous. I’ll always fight to put American workers FIRST! https://t.co/LFd1XMKEDC"

The following day, she commented on gun violence over the holiday period in Chicago: "Labor Day weekend in Chicago:

54 shot

7 killed

Yet JB Pritzker claims Chicago is “safe.” Tell that to the families living in fear for their lives every single day." The post referenced recent incidents and questioned statements from Illinois Governor JB Pritzker regarding city safety.

Later that evening, Miller announced an upcoming television appearance: " About to go live on @NEWSMAX with @toddstarnes. Be sure to tune in! https://t.co/tJW9rb7OrE".

Mary Miller began representing Illinois’ 15th district after succeeding John Shimkus in 2021. She has since won two general elections—defeating Erika Weaver in 2020 with approximately 73.5% of the vote and Paul Lange in 2022 with about 71.2%. These victories reflect continued electoral support within her district.
