BHRA highlights student sports victories and community service in August social media updates

Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School (BHRA) highlighted student activities and achievements in a series of posts on August 29, 2025. The school, located in Bismarck, Vermilion County, serves grades 9 to 12 and had an enrollment of 334 students during the 2019-2020 academic year.

On August 29, BHRA shared news about its volleyball team’s recent performance: "Our Blue Devil volleyball squad played excellent last night, taking down the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans! Great game, ladies — keep that energy going! Go Blue Devils! #GoBlueDevils #BlueDevilPride https://t.co/1rRjqRykvi".

Later that day, the school posted about student involvement in community service: " The BHRA Key Club had a great time serving at the Kiwanis Annual Pancake & Sausage Day! We’re always proud to give back and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community. #BHRA #KeyClub #Service https://t.co/oYAb2RU7uS".

The school also promoted its football home opener scheduled for that evening: " BHRA Football Home Opener tonight at Payton-Moss Field! Gates @ 6PM | $4 Adults, $2 Students, 65+ Free | Full concessions | Watch on NFHS | No pets Go Blue Devils! https://t.co/FxEaSkm1nW".

Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin Cooperative High School is composed primarily of white students—92.2 percent—while black students make up 0.9 percent, Hispanic students account for 3.3 percent, and Asian students represent 1.2 percent as reported in the Illinois Report Card. During the same period, grade distribution was led by grade 10 with 26.3 percent of enrollment; other grades ranged from approximately one-quarter to just over one-fifth of total students (source).
