On August 22, 2025, the Beardsley Park Neighborhood Association organized a block party to celebrate Patricia Avery Day. The event took place on the same day as an honorary street naming ceremony for Patricia Avery. Funding for the block party came from neighborhood small grant funds.
The celebration aimed to recognize Patricia Avery’s contributions to public service and community safety. Police and Fire Department representatives were present at the event, along with several social and safety resource vendors who provided information and services to attendees.
According to organizers, inviting these groups was a way for neighbors to acknowledge Mrs. Avery’s dedication and to offer resources that support safety in the community.
