GAHHS announces Fourth of July holiday schedule

Most Gibson Area Hospital and Health Services (GAHHS) locations will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in observance of the holiday. Some facilities may operate with reduced hours on Thursday, July 3rd.

The GAH Advanced Wound Healing Clinic located at the Main Hospital Campus will be closed on July 4th. The Behavioral Wellness Center at #10 Doctors Park in Gibson City will close both on July 3rd and July 4th. Similarly, Caring Connections (Geriatric Behavioral Services) at the same address will also remain closed on July 4th.

Other clinics including GAH Cardiology Clinic, GAH Dental Health, GAH Elite Sport and Fitness, Family Health Care of Fairbury, Farmer City, and Gibson City will not be operational on July 4th. Several other specialized clinics such as GAH ENT Clinic, General Surgery Clinic, Neurology & Rheumatology Clinics, Oncology Clinic/Infusion Center, Orthopaedics Clinic (which closes early on July 3rd), Pulmonology Clinic, Urology Clinic among others have announced closures for Independence Day.

Furthermore, all Gibson Area family medicine centers across various locations like Cissna Park, Hoopeston, Mahomet, Onarga, Watseka along with the Gibson Recovery Optimizing Wellness (GROW) program will not operate on this date.

In addition to these closures are several outpatient services such as Prairie Family Medicine and Obstetrics in Forrest and therapy services in Gibson City and Paxton which have confirmed their closure for the holiday. However, The Paxton Weekend Clinic located at 227 N. Market St., Paxton will maintain normal business hours over the weekend following the holiday.

Patients experiencing medical emergencies are advised to call emergency services at "9-1-1".
