The 2025 Spring Yard Waste Collection in Champaign offered residents two opportunities for disposal, one in April and another in May. The Public Works Operations Division reported the collection of 84,352 bags of yard waste during this period.
Residents who still need to dispose of yard waste have several options available. They can compost the materials themselves, contact a private hauler, or take their items to the Landscape Recycling Center located in Urbana. The city has announced that the next scheduled yard waste collection will take place in the fall.
