On May 11, 2025, Rep. Mary Miller conveyed her appreciation for mothers by sharing "Happy Mother's Day! I'm truly blessed by the godly mothers in my life, including my mom and mother-in-law. Being a mom and grandma comes with challenges, but it's the most rewarding gift. Wishing all moms a joyful and blessed day!" This message highlighted her personal connection to the day through her roles as both a mother and grandmother.

Later that day, she posted a verse from the Bible on Twitter: “You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” - Psalm 16:11 The post underscores her faith-based perspective which often informs her public discourse.

The following day, May 12, 2025, Rep. Miller took to Twitter to address policy matters by stating "Every Green New Deal tax subsidy must be CUT immediately through reconciliation. Hardworking American taxpayers should not be funding wasteful, environmental lunacy!" Her stance reflects a critical view of current environmental policies associated with the Green New Deal.

Mary Miller has been serving in Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021. Born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and now residing in Oakland at age 63, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University.
