The following day, May 8, 2025, she expressed her stance on funding for Planned Parenthood by referencing Matt Walsh's blog and tweeted: "I am asking the same question, @MattWalshBlog. Planned Parenthood must be DEFUNDED! https://t.co/XdV7UIwukT".
Later that day, Rep. Miller shared her support for a legislative proposal initiated by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to rename the "Gulf of Mexico" as the Gulf of America. She conveyed her approval with the tweet: "I just voted for @RepMTG’s bill to rename the 'Gulf of Mexico' to the Gulf of America. It's PERFECT! https://t.co/ugcNKThwFW".
Mary Miller has served in Congress since replacing John Shimkus in 2021 and is known for her strong conservative viewpoints. Born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1959 and currently residing in Oakland, she holds a BA from Eastern Illinois University.
