Congresswoman Mary Miller of Illinois has urged an immediate investigation into the actions of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and the State of Illinois. She addressed her request to Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary of the Department of Education Linda McMahon, citing concerns over fairness and safety in girls' sports.

Miller’s request is driven by what she characterizes as violations of federal law and a dismissal of biological realities, which she believes impact fairness and risk the safety of young women. She commented, "The Illinois High School Association has crossed a dangerous line. By blatantly violating federal law and rejecting biological reality, they are not only undermining fairness in girls’ sports — they’re putting the safety of young women at risk."

The Congresswoman called for accountability, stating, "I’m calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi and Secretary Linda McMahon to launch an immediate investigation into the IHSA and the State of Illinois. Governor JB Pritzker and radical Illinois Democrats must be held accountable for enforcing abusive, anti-science gender policies ahead of the safety of our daughters and the fairness of girls’ sports."

Additionally, Miller has introduced H.R. 2452, known as the Keep Our Girls Safe Act. This legislation aims to make President Trump’s Executive Order 14201 a permanent law, which would withdraw federal funding from schools that oppose the established protections for women and girls.

Miller, who is the Chair of the Congressional Family Caucus, also participates in the House Committees on Agriculture, Education and Workforce, and House Administration.
