Police interviews coming up March 15,2025. Advised Commissioner Fredericks is not present at the meeting tonight so she will email him to get his chosen questions. Commissioner Fredericks asked Chairperson Hoose to inquire some information from Chief Yates regarding the DACC gathering involving the ACLU and Mr Randall. Acknowledged Chief Yates dedication and the incredible work the police department has put in. Chairperson Amy Hoose and Commissioner Larry Fredericks will attend the promotional testing April 12, 2025.

COMMISSIONERS COMMENTS: Commissioner Dixon advised Chairperson Hoose the two (2) questions she chose. Commissioner Beth Hager provided the questions she chose.

DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY

Chief Yates: Briefly explained his thoughts on the gathering at DACC. The previous study was done by the Wise Consulting Firm from 2004 - 2018. The results didn't show any findings of inappropriate actions by police. The more recent studies are inconsistent because they used three (3) different methodologies in a four (4) years span. The ACLU didn't have all the information. Most of the information Mr. Randall provided were very different from the actual facts that can be proven by the Police department. Will be ready and willing to provide all the factual information to any independent group who wants to do any type of study. Advised the promotional testing will be held April 12, 2025. Will provide the location after he confirms. There will be a special meeting for police interviews on March 15, 2025 at 09:00 am. There will be ten (10) interviews. Advised he has been approved to hire up to six (6). Advised Deputy Chief McCord will be attending the interviews just as an observer. Advised he will work non IDs for the board members

Chief Marcott: The Fire Department banquet will be March 29, 2025. Advised he emailed the invite to the board members. Reminded them to get their RSVP in advised next month's meeting he could possibly request new hires.

There being no further items to discuss, there was a motion by Commissioner Bethany Hager to adjourn the regular meeting at 5:48 PM, seconded by Commissioner Dixon.
