Illinois faced a challenging game on the road against No. 11 Wisconsin, resulting in a 95-74 defeat on Tuesday night. This loss ended the Fighting Illini's nine-game winning streak against the Badgers and marked their first defeat to Wisconsin in six years.

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn led Illinois with 17 points, achieving his ninth double-figure scoring game of the season. He also contributed three offensive rebounds, five assists, and a block. Ben Humrichous added 13 points, including three successful three-pointers, along with four rebounds and two assists.

Will Riley scored 11 points, maintaining his streak of seven consecutive games with double-digit points. Tre White returned to the starting lineup and added seven points and five rebounds.

Illinois will next face No. 3 Duke in a non-conference matchup at Madison Square Garden on Saturday as part of the SentinelOne Classic. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on FOX.

The team experienced challenges during this match, including being outrebounded by Wisconsin 39-30, marking only the fifth time this season they lost the rebounding battle. Despite these setbacks, Illinois' bench outscored Wisconsin's bench by a significant margin of 35-16.

Kasparas Jakucionis contributed six points and moved into eighth place on Illinois' freshman scoring list with a total of 390 points for the season. Jake Davis made his first start as an Illini and scored six points while hitting two three-pointers.

Tomislav Ivisic was initially listed as questionable but played off the bench for seven points and three rebounds.

Illinois aims to recover from this loss as they prepare for their upcoming neutral-site game against Duke.
