Ellie Haggard, a freshman from Bourbonnais, Illinois, has shared insights into the start of the non-conference season for her team. With an undecided major, Haggard recently participated in games held in Orlando, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee.
The team returned from Nashville with a record of 3-1. They secured an 8-0 victory over Stony Brook and achieved a walk-off grand slam win against Quinnipiac. "Our bats have been getting better every game," said Haggard, expressing optimism about the upcoming conference play.
Haggard emphasized the team's dedication during practice sessions and is eager to see their efforts come to fruition as the season progresses.
