Wells and Wells Construction has announced road closures on Chalmers Street and Daniel Street in Champaign. The closures are necessary to facilitate the removal of a crane from a construction site at 608 E. Chalmers Street.
Chalmers Street will be closed between Sixth Street and Wright Street. Due to the one-way traffic patterns in the vicinity, Daniel Street will also be closed to through traffic within the same stretch. Southbound traffic on Wright Street will be redirected eastward at John Street, while northbound traffic on Wright Street will remain unaffected.
These measures are scheduled for Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., contingent on weather conditions.
