Illinois' women's basketball team faced a setback as they were defeated by Washington with a score of 84-75 at the State Farm Center. This loss marked the end of Illinois' 13-game home winning streak, which was the second-longest in the program's history.

Genesis Bryant delivered an impressive performance, matching her career-best with 32 points. She made four three-pointers and achieved a perfect record from the free-throw line. Bryant also contributed six rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

Adalia McKenzie added 13 points along with five rebounds and an assist, making two key baskets in the third quarter. Kendall Bostic continued her streak of scoring in double figures for the 12th consecutive game, contributing 17 points alongside six rebounds and four assists.

Brynn Shoup-Hill recorded five points and set a personal best with four assists during the game.

Looking ahead, Illinois will face Minnesota on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis. The game is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on B1G+.

Shauna Green's coaching record now stands at "52-28 at Illinois" and "20-19 in Big Ten play," with an overall Division I head coach record of "179-78."

The match against Washington marks their second meeting, where Illinois' current standing is "1-1." This was their first encounter as conference opponents.

Illinois demonstrated resilience throughout the game but ultimately fell short despite several runs that kept them competitive against Washington's efforts.
