Boswell achieves triple-double as Illinois defeats Chicago State

No. 24 Illinois delivered a commanding performance, defeating Chicago State 117-64 at the State Farm Center. The victory marked Illinois' second time surpassing the 100-point threshold this season.

Kylan Boswell achieved the seventh triple-double in the program's history with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. This accomplishment was his first career triple-double, setting new personal bests in rebounds and assists.

Tomislav Ivisic contributed a career-high of 23 points while shooting efficiently from the field. He also matched his season-best with five assists, adding four rebounds and two blocks to his performance.

Morez Johnson Jr. recorded a personal best of 11 points, alongside eight rebounds and two blocks. Kasparas Jakucionis scored in double figures for the seventh consecutive game with 14 points.

Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn also reached double figures with 16 points on an impressive shooting display. Will Riley added depth off the bench by scoring 13 points.

The Illini established dominance early, achieving a significant lead through strong offensive play. A notable run expanded their advantage to as much as 58 points during the game.

Illinois will next face No. 9 Oregon on Thursday as they continue their Big Ten schedule on the road.
