Yurang Li ties for sixth as Illinois finishes ninth at NCAA Columbus Regional

Fighting Illini women's golf team concluded their participation in the NCAA Columbus Regional, finishing ninth with a third-round score of 291 (+1) at The Ohio State University Golf Course. Yurang Li, competing in her first NCAA Regional, tied for sixth place after a final round of 69 (-3). She started with a 37 (+1) on the back nine and then shot a 32 (-4) on the front nine, achieving three consecutive birdies and an eagle to end the tournament. Despite her strong performance, Li missed qualifying individually for the NCAA Championships by one stroke. Over 54 holes, she recorded 12 birdies, tying for fourth-most among competitors and was one of four players to achieve an eagle.

Anna Ritter finished tied for 32nd with her lowest round of the tournament at 71 (-1), marking her career-low at an NCAA Regional. Lexanne Halama ended tied for 35th after scoring a final round of 77 (+5). Brielle Mapanao completed the tournament tied for 45th with another round of 74 (+2), while Victoria Zheng finished tied for 59th after an 80 (+8).

Kansas secured the regional title, followed by Arkansas, Ohio State, UNLV, and LSU advancing to the NCAA Championship. Lyla Louderbaugh from Kansas earned individual medalist honors with a score of 12-under (204), and Moa Svedenskiold from Houston advanced as the low individual not on an advancing team.
