Illinois secured a 64-59 victory over Oregon in their Big Ten home opener at the State Farm Center, maintaining an unbeaten record on their home court this season. This win marks Illinois' 13th consecutive triumph at home.

Genesis Bryant led the scoring with 23 points, tying the program's single-game record for most made free throws by going 16-for-17 from the line. She also contributed seven rebounds and one assist. "Bryant scored the Illini's first eight points of the afternoon," showcasing her impact early in the game.

Gretchen Dolan returned after a five-game absence to score 13 points, making three 3-pointers and grabbing five rebounds. Kendall Bostic achieved her fifth consecutive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Adalia McKenzie added another ten points along with seven rebounds.

The game saw several lead changes, with Illinois overcoming a six-point deficit within the first three minutes. The Illini found their rhythm offensively, ending the first quarter with a ten-point lead following contributions from Dolan. Despite Oregon's efforts to close gaps throughout the match, Illinois managed to hold onto their advantage until securing victory.

Illinois will conclude its five-game homestand against Washington on Tuesday at noon CT. The game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network, and tickets are available through FightingIllini.com.

Shauna Green continues to make strides as head coach, now holding a record of "52-27 at Illinois" and ranking sixth in program history for wins.
