Illinois American Water and Shaw Brothers have closed two eastbound lanes of Kirby Avenue at State Street to repair a water main. Despite the closure, one eastbound and one westbound lane remain open for traffic. The repairs are expected to be completed with temporary pavement patching by the afternoon of Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
The work aims to address issues near the intersection of Kirby Avenue and State Street. Both organizations are managing the project to ensure minimal disruption while maintaining safety standards.
