The Big Ten Conference, known for its dominance in collegiate wrestling with 17 consecutive NCAA Wrestling champions, is set to host the inaugural Big Ten Takedown. This event will feature a wrestling dual between Illinois and Indiana on Friday, December 6, in Indianapolis.
The match between the Fighting Illini and the Hoosiers is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT at the Indiana Convention Center during the Big Ten Fan Fest presented by Dr Pepper. It coincides with the 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game. The event will be broadcast live by Big Ten Network, with doors opening to fans at 3 p.m. CT.
Tickets for the event are available through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com for $25 each. Each ticket also includes complimentary admission to the Fan Fest on both December 6 and December 7. The Fan Fest offers more than 200,000 square feet of interactive games, entertainment including guest appearances and mascots, team band performances, merchandise sales, giveaways, food and beverages.
For those attending without pre-purchased tickets, they may be bought on-site at the Georgia Street Ticket Office outside Hall J in the Indiana Convention Center from 2:30 p.m. CT on Friday. Standard tickets remain priced at $25; however, individuals presenting a valid Military ID can purchase tickets for $13.
