Isabel Sy, a senior on the women's golf team and kinesiology major, achieved notable success at the Landfall Tradition tournament. She recorded a 54-hole total of 208 (-8), including a season-low round of 66 (-6) on Sunday, which secured her third consecutive Top-5 finish. This accomplishment places her among an elite group of Illini golfers who have achieved three straight Top-5 finishes since 2013, alongside Crystal Wang (2022-23) and Ember Schuldt (2013-14).

During the tournament, Sy made 17 birdies, tying for the most in the field. She also had the second-lowest scoring average on par 4s with a score of 3.87 (-4). Her performance earned her recognition as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for the third time in her career.

Sy is originally from San Gabriel, California, and maintains a GPA of 3.39 while pursuing her degree in kinesiology.
