Illinois volleyball cancels Marquette match citing player safety concerns

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Illinois volleyball team's spring match against Marquette has been canceled. The match was originally scheduled for Saturday in Rockford, Illinois. According to a statement, the decision was made with "the players' health and safety in mind." There are no plans to reschedule the contest.

The team will conclude its spring season on April 20 with a match against Big Ten opponent Minnesota. This game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Waterloo High School in Waterloo, Wisconsin.
