The Big Ten Conference has announced the schedule for its 2024 Volleyball Media Days. The event is set to occur on August 5-6 at the Big Ten Network studios in Chicago.
On Monday, August 5, nine volleyball programs from the conference, including Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers and Wisconsin will participate in a series of interview sessions and other content opportunities to preview the upcoming season. The following day will see another group of nine programs—Indiana, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Washington, UCLA and USC—engage in similar activities.
Reflecting on last year's event was Fighting Illini head coach Chris Tamas alongside players Raina Terry and Brooke Mosher. "Last season," noted Tamas during the second-ever media days event where Terry was recognized as a two-time All-Big Ten First Team selection and Mosher as a 2022 All-Big Ten Freshman Team honoree.
In 2022, the Big Ten made history by becoming the first collegiate conference to host an in-person preseason volleyball media event.
