Six former Fighting Illini golfers are set to compete in various professional golf tours this week. These athletes will showcase their skills on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, PGA TOUR Americas, and the DP World Tour.

Thomas Detry and Nick Hardy will participate in the Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida. Detry is making his first appearance at this event after a T62 finish at The PLAYERS, marking his fourth cut in seven tournaments for 2024. Hardy is returning to the Valspar Championship for the second consecutive year and aims for his sixth made cut of the season.

Adrien Dumont de Chassart joins them as a rookie on the PGA TOUR. He enters the Valspar Championship following a career-best T6 finish at the Puerto Rico Open two weeks ago.

Steve Stricker returns to action on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit at the Hoag Classic Newport Beach in California. Stricker is coming off The PLAYERS and had an impressive record-setting 2023 season with 11 top-two finishes out of 16 events.

The inaugural season of PGA TOUR Americas begins with Tommy Kuhl competing in the Bupa Championship at PGA Riviera Maya in Tulum, Mexico. Kuhl previously participated in February's Korn Ferry Tour Panama Championship through Monday qualifying.

Matthis Besard continues his season on the DP World Tour, entering his ninth event of 2024 at Laguna National Golf Resort Club's Porsche Singapore Classic. He seeks to make his third cut this week.
