The City of Champaign has announced the schedule for its Fall Yard Waste Collection program, which will run from October 14 through December 13, 2024. Every resident within the city limits will have four collection dates this fall. Orange Zone pickups will commence on October 14, while Blue Zone pickups will begin on October 21.
This complimentary service is available to all residential properties in Champaign and aims to offer an environmentally friendly alternative for yard waste disposal. Residents can participate by placing bagged leaves and bundled branches or twigs at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on their designated collection date.
To determine their collection zone and schedule, residents are encouraged to use the interactive Yard Waste Collection Map. By entering their address in the search bar located in the upper left corner of the map, they can find specific information about their zone and collection dates.
