Uniting Pride of Champaign County (UP Center) is hosting its 14th annual Pride Fest and Parade from September 13 to 22. The City is sponsoring the event and promoting the schedule of activities. On Wednesday, September 4, April Faulkner, Community Relations Specialist in the Equity & Engagement Department, interviewed Nicole Frydman, Director of the UP Center, to discuss some key events.
"Of course, tried and true events like the parade and queer prom are coming back," said Frydman. "But a ton of new events are making their way to the lineup! This includes a brand new event, PRIDE ON MARKET STREET!"
The community is encouraged to get involved with the UP Center by attending events, volunteering, or spreading the word. More information can be found on their website and event schedule.
