The Fighting Illini men's golf program has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for its academic achievements. The organization announced its 2023-24 Outstanding Team Academic Awards on Tuesday, July 30.
The GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Awards honor collegiate programs across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III; NAIA; and NJCAA Divisions I and II that achieve a team grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher. This year, a total of 240 programs were acknowledged across all six divisions.
This recognition marks the eighth consecutive year that head coach Mike Small's team has received the GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award.
