Starting Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Cross Construction will begin reconstruction work on several locations in Champaign. The affected areas include:
- Duncan Road from Lawndale Drive to Springfield Avenue
- John Street from Goldenview Drive to Duncan Road
- Goldenview Drive from just south of William Street to John Street
- Brentwood Drive from just south of William Street to Goldenview Drive
- Blair Drive from Ridgewood Court to Duncan Road
- Ridgewood Court from Duncan Road to Blair Drive
The project will commence with minor curb and sidewalk replacement, followed by patching, manhole adjustments, milling and paving, and the application of new pavement markings.
One lane in each direction will remain open for through traffic; however, motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid delays. This phase of the Annual Paving Project is scheduled for completion by October 4, 2024.
