Champaign Fire Department issues major building permit

The Champaign Fire Department’s Building Safety Division recently issued a building permit for a project with an estimated construction value of $250,000 or more.

According to the department, the permit was issued for an alteration at 1757 W Kirby Ave, designated for restaurant use. The construction value is listed as $250,000, and the permit was issued on July 1, 2024.

The overall construction value for 2024 stands at $72,420,324.
