The City of Champaign has shared information from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) regarding an upcoming public meeting.
IDOT announced that an open house will be held on June 4, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Champaign Central High School, located at 610 W. University Avenue, Champaign, IL. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the improvement of US Route 150/Prospect Avenue, spanning from Springfield Avenue to Marketview Drive. All interested parties are invited to attend.
The meeting will be informal with project displays and other information available for viewing. IDOT representatives will be present to explain the project, answer individual questions, and record comments from attendees. Comments on bicycle and pedestrian accommodations and feedback from potentially affected property owners are particularly encouraged.
Preliminary reports, including engineering analysis with drawings, maps, and aerial photography, will be available for inspection during the entire duration of the meeting. This material can also be reviewed at the district office address provided below.
