Annual smoke alarm blitz distributes over 100 devices

On May 18, the Sheehan Family, in partnership with the Champaign Fire Department, held their annual smoke alarm blitz at the Douglass Community Center. This initiative was born out of the loss of their son, Christian Sheehan, in a tragic house fire in 2016. Over its duration, this annual event has provided more than 1,000 smoke alarms to families. The recent event saw over 100 smoke alarms distributed.
