Village of Rossville Finance & Purchasing Committee met April 2

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Trustee Black called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the Rossville Municipal Building located at 120 East Attica Street in Rossville.

Committee members physically present-Trustees Black, Gammon and Jones 

Committee members absent –None

Guests present were Mayor Queen, Clerk White, Trustees Cornell and Richison.

Motion was made by Black, seconded by Gammon to adjourn to executive session to discuss employee wages under 5 ILCS 120/2 C1. Vote: Gammon, yes; Jones, yes; Black, yes. The meeting adjourned to executive session at 5:05 p.m.

Motion was made by Gammon, seconded by Jones to return to regular session.

Vote: Black, yes; Jones, yes; Gammon, yes. The meeting returned to regular session at 5:37 p.m.

Clerk White will prepare an updated spreadsheet with the salaries discussed in executive session and present to board members at the next regular board meeting for review prior to a vote on the salaries.

After discussion between supervisors and committee members, a proposed budget for fiscal year 2025 was created and numbers given to Clerk White in preparation of a proposed budget being posted in the village office for review. Board members will review the information and discuss the proposed budget at the regular board meeting to be held on April 15th. A budget ordinance must be adopted prior to April 30, 2024 for the 2025 fiscal year.

Motion was made by Black, seconded by Jones to adjourn the meeting. Vote: Black, yes; Jones, yes; Gammon, yes. The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
