Effective immediately, the city of Champaign has announced the closure of Randolph Street from Springfield Avenue to White Street. According to the announcement, drivers northbound on Randolph will need to turn left or right onto Springfield Avenue as they will not be able to continue on Randolph Street. The closure also affects the intersection of Randolph Street and White Street, with the previous closure of eastbound White Street between State Street and Randolph Street still in effect.
Access to the affected area will be limited to local residents only, while businesses along the closed section of Randolph Street will remain open. However, patrons may need to utilize alternate routes intermittently during the duration of the closures.
