Springfield, IL– State Sen. Chapin Rose (R-Mahomet) passed legislation to help support emergency ambulance services in Clark County by providing the ambulance services they need in case of emergencies.

Sen. Rose expressed his support for the initiative, stating, "This bill came as at the joint request of Clark County and the Marshall Fire Protection District, so I am happy to help them out to support this initiative."

The legislation, known as Senate Bill 3402, involves transferring the ambulance portion of the Marshall Fire District levy to Clark County, which is currently providing the service. Sen. Rose emphasized the importance of this transfer, noting, "This is necessary so that the Clark County can continue to provide ambulance services to the citizens of the area."

SB 3402 successfully passed the Senate on April 12th and is now set to proceed to the House for further consideration.
