City of Danville Planning & Zoning Commission met May 4.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

I. Call to Order, Roll Call & Declaration of Quorum

a. Chair Goodwin called the meeting to order at 5:15pm with declaration of a quorum.

II. Announcement that the P&Z Commission is Advisory to the City Council 

a. Announcement made.

III. Approval of Agenda: 5/4/23

a. Motion: Hall      Second: Fleming      ALL: AYE

IV. Approval of Minutes: 1/5/23

a. Motion: Fleming      Second: Troglia      ALL: AYE

V. General Oath of Audience:

a. Goodwin: Oath to Swear Witness: (Attorneys need not be sworn) Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in the matter now pending before this commission?b. Witnesses – I do.

VII. Public Hearings

a. Variance #368 – Danville Metro Expos Auditorium, owner of 100 W Main St., is requesting a Variance of 50% to the maximum square feet requirement in the B-3 zoning district to construct a sign.

i. Petitioner - Dwayne Gaylor – Spoke regarding where utilities were already placed and the best option for this sign. Does not have a date of completion for sign yet. 

ii. Logan Cronk (City of Danville) – We have no negative comments for this petition.
