State Rep. Chris Miller (R-Robinson) recently posted pictures from a town hall held with other House Republicans where he talked about events in Springfield.

“We want to let you know exactly what's going on in state government,” Miller said in his post. “If you missed our first town hall, there will be others.”

Miller had previously shared a video about an upcoming town hall set for Feb. 16. at 6 p.m. in Matoon.

“We're going to be talking about the gun grab brought to you by the radical Democrats and J.B. Pritzker," Miller said, as he posed with other House Republicans. "We’re also probably going to be talking about the skyrocketing energy costs that the radical Democrats and the Green New Deal people are also bringing to you, and we'll also be taking questions and answers to try to fill in the gaps for all the questions that you might have. So make sure you take time to come out for a great time, a great evening of fellowship and information, so we will see you there.”

The Hilton Garden Inn is at 100 Coles Centre Parkway, in Mattoon.

Miller has also spoken about the need to reduce taxes.

"Families and businesses are being taxed-out of Illinois!" he said earlier. "We can make Illinois a destination for families and job creators alike if we make it a more affordable place to live. Every lawmaker should be working to reduce the tax burden on our residents to help Illinois grow again.

Miller was first elected to the Illinois House in 2018. His legislative experience includes serving on the International Trade & Commerce Committee.
