MINUTES
I. Call to Order
Committee Chair Thorsland called the meeting to order at 4:29 p.m.
II. Roll Call
A verbal roll call was taken, and a quorum was declared present
III. Approval of Agenda/Addenda
MOTION by Mr. Patterson to approve the agenda; seconded by Mr. Stohr. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
IV. Approval of Minutes
A. Open Session – December 1, 2021
MOTION by Mr. Stohr to approve the open session minutes of December 1, 2021; seconded by Mr. Patterson. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
V. Public Participation
None
VI. Closed Session Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to consider litigation which is pending against or on behalf of Champaign County, and litigation that is probable or imminent against Champaign County
MOTION by Mr. Stohr to enter into CLOSED session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11) to consider litigation which is pending against or on behalf of Champaign County, and litigation that is probable or imminent against Champaign County and that the following parties remain present: Legal Counsel, County Executive, Insurance Specialist and Recording Secretary; seconded by Mr. Patterson. Upon roll call vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
The Litigation Committee entered Closed Session at 4:32 p.m.
The Litigation Committee resumed Open Session at 5:06 p.m.
VII. Other Business
A. Semi-Annual Review of Closed Session Minutes
MOTION by Mr. Patterson to follow the State’s Attorney’s recommendation for all closed session minutes to remain closed; seconded by Mr. Stohr. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
B. Approval of Closed Session Minutes
1. December 1, 2021
MOTION by Mr. Patterson to approve the closed session minutes of December 1, 2021; seconded by Mr. Stohr. Upon vote, the MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
VIII. Adjournment
Chair Thorsland adjourned the meeting at 5:08 p.m.
