Report: St. Joseph School District spent $8,819 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at St. Joseph Community Consolidated School District 169 was up 10.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Chambana Sun analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $8,003 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,819 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 903 to 858 students over the same period.

St. Joseph's spending in 2019-20 was 39.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
