Invest in Your PEOPLE.

CFO asks the CEO:
“What happens if we invest in developing our people and then they leave us?”

CEO responds:
“What happens if we don’t and then they stay?”

It is an employee’s labor market right now. If you have staff who are assets to your company, make an investment in their professional development. LEAD Champaign County focuses on helping emerging leaders understand their leadership styles, how to work with their teams and develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. It also provides young professionals with a solid peer network that is crucial to making Champaign County feel like their home.

LEAD Champaign County is designed to mold young professionals into strong local leaders. Participants will gain confidence, knowledge, professionalism and new leadership skills they can bring back to their place of employment. The program is a great way to connect young professionals with their peers and build strong business relationships. The value of establishing a business peer network is beneficial to both the employee and your employer.

All sessions will be held in-person. That being said, safety is our first priority. All sessions will include physically distanced seating. If COVID-19 surges this fall, we are prepared to move sessions virtually if necessary. Last year’s participants did the program virtually and the reviews were outstanding. So, we got this - even if we have to go virtual at some point in the program, the participants will still gain valuable tools and skills that will benefit themselves and the employer.

The ten-week program will feature speakers each week presenting on a variety of leadership-related topics from the strength finder assessment to leadership management skills and business etiquette.

Early bird registration price ends tomorrow, September 1. Price will increase beginning on September 2.

Weekly Sessions: September 9 - November 18
(excluding Veterans Day on November 11)
