FAMILY HEALTH CARE OF HOOPESTON: Vaccine Update As OF January 14, 2021

Update

Family Health Care Of Hoopeston issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.

Dear Communities in Ford County.  I understand people are getting anxious about when they can get the vaccine, what is the County doing, what is the Hospital doing, etc.

The Hospital is working hand in hand with the Ford County Health Department.  And we are going as fast as we can.  However, we are currently limited by the number of doses being distributed by Champaign County to Ford County for use.  We are getting 100 doses (we got 200 doses this week) a week.  We are finishing up the hospital staff who have requested the vaccine.  We will then move to other healthcare professionals in the county and first responders.

Once we get that group done (500+ or so).  Then we will move to 1B, which includes teachers, other essential workers, etc.  Then we move to elderly, health compromised, and so on.

You will see other counties around us already doing teachers and community.  That is specific to their county and their doses received.

WE, in Ford County, are only getting a small amount of doses.  So we are getting them into arms as fast as we can and moving down the list as fast as we can.  If we are able to get more doses, we certainly are capable of moving through the list much faster.

So please be patient.  Your doctors offices do not have vaccines to give (yet).  They are all coming to and through the Hospital at this time.

I promise you, we want to get everyone vaccinated as fast as you do.  Vaccination will help us all get through these trying times.
