Homer Fire Protection District responded to six calls in 2018 - 33.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Homer included three fires - one structure fire, one vehicle fire and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $25,000 in fire loss - or about $8,333 per fire.

The department also received three false calls.
