Elliott VFD responds to four fires in 2018

Elliott Volunteer Fire Department responded to four calls in 2018 - 33.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Elliott included four fires - three structure fires and one other fire.

In all, the department saw $140,000 in fire loss - or about $35,000 per fire.

The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related death.

The Elliott Volunteer Fire Department had an annual budget of $36,506 in 2018.
