Oakwood Fire District responded to 42 calls in 2018 - 90.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Oakwood included 36 fires - 16 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 15 other fires.

In all, the department saw $190,000 in fire loss - or about $5,278 per fire.

The department also received six false calls.

The Oakwood Fire District had an annual budget of $62,715 in 2018.
