Westville Area Fire Protection District responded to 95 calls in 2018 - 8 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Westville Area included 71 fires - 43 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 21 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $319,014 in fire loss - or about $4,493 per fire.

The department also received 22 false calls, including five malicious calls and 17 other false calls.

The calls resulted in two civilian fire-related injuries.

The Westville Area Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $220,629 in 2018.
